About Me

I am Dr. Hossein Rostamipour, a Consultant Psychiatrist working at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, one of the most renowned mental health institutions in Europe. I also serve as a Visiting Consultant at the Priory Mental Health Hospital in Roehampton. Additionally, I work at the Brain Health Clinic, part of the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology, and Neuroscience at King's College London.

I have also held the position of honorary lecturer at King's College London. Through my experience working in various settings, including the NHS and private practice, I have treated numerous patients suffering from undiagnosed ADHD, alongside other serious mental and physical health conditions. Helping these individuals receive a more accurate diagnosis, addressing the root cause of their symptoms, and guiding them toward positive change in their lives and for their loved ones has fuelled my passion to raise awareness about ADHD, Autism, and neurodiversity.

I possess extensive experience working in both inpatient and outpatient mental health services across London, handling complex cases involving various mental health disorders. Currently, my primary focus is on assessing and treating individuals with neurodiversity, particularly those with complex ADHD, as well as cases where ADHD is combined with Autism or other mental health conditions. I have also undergone additional training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, which has proven valuable in diagnosing ADHD in women.

Each year, I successfully assess and treat hundreds of ADHD patients, which has honed my ability to manage complex cases and provide customised, safe, and optimised treatment plans.

I believe ADHD and Autism often go undiagnosed, especially in high-functioning individuals. Unfortunately, people with neurodiversity frequently face discrimination at school and work, which hinders their ability to reach their full potential and experience true happiness and fulfilment. Despite their efforts, they may continue to experience symptoms such as low mood, mood swings, anxiety, addiction, relationship issues, and memory problems, which are often misdiagnosed as other mental health disorders. These individuals may not respond well to traditional therapies and medications because the underlying cause of their difficulties remains unrecognised.

I truly hope to be part of your journey, helping you better understand yourself, receive a thorough assessment, achieve your treatment goals, and ultimately enjoy a more fulfilling and easier life.
